It's obviously not a true high end silk rug - I expected it to look and feel cheap. Well, it doesn't. It looks like a high end silk rug - the colors, texture, and patterns are beautiful and not cheap looking. The feel of the material is soft and silky although not quite exactly like a high end silk rug. I wonder how this will wear over time. For the price, if I get a few years out of it that will be great. It looks just amazingly beautiful, I can't get over it. It has a felt backing, so anyone who looks underneath will know it's not a "true" persian rug. It is a little thinner and lighter than a "real" rug but not much - other reviews I read here made it sound flimsy and cheap but it absolutely doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. It rolled right out with no creases, folds, lumps, etc. It lies nice and flat. I am tempted to buy one or two more just to grab them while they're available, for a future use, but I really don't have a future use. I may buy the hallway runner just based on how nice this rug is. Love it!!!!!Beautiful pattern and nice colors. This rug is extremely thin. Several reviews stated that it was thin however, it was even thinner than I expected after evaluating several reviews. It does lay flat nicely after only an hour of unrolling. Soft to touch but nothing worth the rave reviews I read about. I will not be placing a rug pad underneath this considering it is in my dining room and it’s main purpose is to prevent scratches on my hardwood floor. I definitely would use a rug pad for more suppleness if this was in a living room/family room. Overall I am happy with the rug and plan on keeping it. It matches my color scheme and the pattern resembles more expensive rugs. The price point makes it worth it to me considering it’s more for decor and will not see heavy traffic.The runner is nice not real heavy, but enough to stay in place on the floor. I gave it 4 stars on value because I had to pay 12.95 shipping. I would almost have rather the seller to include it in the price, psychologically it is a softer thought than paying shipping, during this day I hardly ever pay shipping. But no regrets it is a nice runner.This is a seriously nice rug. The colors are much more beautiful in real life than they are in the photo, and the pattern is much more elaborate--mostly red with hints of navy and olive/gold on a creamy ivory background. We were surprised at how soft and silky it feels! You just want to lie on it and pet it for a little while. After only a day or so, it has mostly flattened itself after being rolled. The only thing I can advise is that it is very thin, so if you're using it on a hard floor, you will definitely need a rug pad; we are using it for a pop of color over a drab carpet, so it's fine. Already considering using this seller to buy some smaller rugs for other rooms.I own a furniture decor store and carry a small high end area rugs to just use for our front decor. I've purchased many rugs on Amazon; I have never seen such as beautiful rug and design. I am quite well-informed about hand made rugs and the design origin. The actual design of this rug is really amazing and I've never seen these kind of rugs here in US at this price range. As other reviews said, Silk rugs are generally not very thick, so you want to probably order a rug pad for under it. I've ordered a few of these rugs and Amazed with the quality and fast shipping and great price by AS quality. If you looking for high end look but don' t want to spend thousand of dollars I would seriously recommend this rug. I've ordered a few sizes of this rug. 2x3 and 8x12 but the larger size look much nicer in personI bought this little rug and put it on my wall to wall carpet in front of my sliding door that is high traffic. Looked great BUT what was wonderful about the rugs is that it has a backing on it that keeps it from constantly moving all over the place. Looked so good and never moved!!!!!!!! I was so happy I bought several more. I wholeheartedly rcommend these rugs and will buy them again if needed.This rug came rolled up on my doorstep. Unrolling it was fairly easy however I did find that some of the tape packaging had adhered to the tassels on both side of the rug. It took some care to detach it without causing damage. It's the perfect size for my (small) living room, nice and soft, not flimsy. I bought it to cover up some of the ugly wall to wall flooring. I actually really like the colors and details of the rug. This purchase turned out better than expected.I wanted a Turkish rug that is thin with not so much pile. This was perfect. It feels soft to touch especially on the feet. Because it is thin, it is easy to clean. My son spilled milk on it and when cleaning it up the colors did not run.
